Studio DeLite is an independent photography and portrait studio in South East London, created by Emma Knight-Hill (Eliza DeLite).
Located twenty minutes from London Bridge station, in Hither Green, South East London - Studio DeLite offers a range of theatrically styled photoshoot packages.
Behind the lens
Emma Knight-Hill is a multidisciplinary artist. Outside of her photographic practice she is an internationally recognized burlesque performer working under the stage name Eliza DeLite.
She holds a BA in Photography & Film Production, which she completed in 2010 after extensive training in fine art, photography, and video production. Following higher education, she has dedicated over 16 years to developing her performance career on the international stage.
During the 2020 lockdown period, Emma returned to her photographic practice, reigniting a passion that had remained (mostly) dormant for several years. This reconnection with her original medium proved transformative, leading her to establish Studio DeLite in 2024.
Someone you can trust
Through her work as a photographer and as a burlesque mentor, Emma has spent years guiding people towards finding their confidence in one form or another (either behind the lens and in the dance studio). She understands the need to feel comfortable within a space before true confidence can shine through. During your session Emma will put you at ease, guide you through your shoot session with posing tips, breaks when you need them and visual feedback (so you can see your images as the session unfolds).
Artistic Direction & Creative background
The studio represents a synthesis of Emma’s dual expertise—combining her technical foundation in visual arts with the unique perspective gained from her years of ongoing professional performance work.
Through her practice, Emma creates bespoke hand painted and curated studio sets in which she offers cinematic style portraiture to performing artists, musicians, models, dancers amongst a wide variety of clientele.
She pulls together references from fine art, cinema & fashion to create hyper kitsch and dreamlike worlds which act as the foundation for her photographic practice.
“As an artist, across both my performance and photographic work, my focus is to create iconic, striking visuals, with a strong influence from the worlds of cinema, fashion and fine art.”
In 2020, she was recognised by Arts Council England, with a grant for her project The Serpent’s Shadow, a large scale theatrical burlesque performance that went on to tour with international stage production Party Like Gatsby in 2022/2023.
